Instructor Taylor D. Ford was born on July 6, 1982 in Colorado Springs, Colorado of Portuguese & Hispanic ancestry. He began his martial arts career in 1992 where he began studying Chinese Kempo-Karate at the High Plains Branch in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Instructor Ford received his Black Belt in June 1999 and received his 3rd Degree Black Belt in June 2006. Having grown up in the Universal System, he demonstrates a profound understanding of the concepts and techniques, fitting for his rank of 3rd Degree - Instructor. Instructor Ford is a student of Professor Garland R. Johnson and Senior Chief Instructor Bridget L. Johnson. He is a member of the Universal Kempo Demo Team which is a world class martial arts show team that has performed in Europe, Asia, Canada, Central America and throughout the United States. He is currently the Program Director for the Stetson Hills Branch. Instructor Ford’s greatest fulfillment with the martial arts is enjoying teaching and helping the student who really needs help. He is devoted to the well being and education in assisting students of the martial arts to become effective leaders in society. |
